From Placa de Catalunya you can visit the Roman ruins , the medieval city and the modern city. The old city areas are mostly flat, the modern city areas are on the slopes at the top of Barcelona.
In the Gothic Quarter there are numerous beautiful architectural remains of the medieval kings and , the Cathedral of St. Eulalia, the royal court ,Playa del Rei, the Frederic-Mare Museum and the City Hall .
